❓FAQ
alfa.airdropbot frequently asked questions
What is an airdrop?
Crypto users who regularly use different platforms may receive free tokens called airdrops as part of a marketing campaign by blockchain-based projects and developers. These tokens are given to members of the community to encourage them to learn more about the project and become more involved. The goal is to increase awareness and engagement, similar to receiving a free discount card in the mail to visit a new store. However, the intention of a crypto airdrop is not to make the recipient spend money but to promote new projects and services.
What kind of airdrops are alfa.society targeting?
We are targeting what we believe to be the most lucrative and popular airdrops, we have multiple sources for airdrop alpha as well as Doc’s own experience farming airdrops. Using this we will determine the airdrops with the most potential and the interactions required to hit the most important criteria and gain the most significant drops with as little effort on the users part as possible.
What is the benefit of using alfa.airdrop bots versus farming manually?
The airdropbots are designed to do everything you would need to do to earn eligibility for the targeted airdrop, with minimal effort from the user:
No research into best interactions, bridges to use and swaps to do
No flipping from network to network, dApp to dApp, web page to web page
You do everything from within our dApp and just click through the approvals and confirmations as per the instructions provided until the bot says "finished"
We scout the most profitable and worthwhile airdrops to farm
We research and implement all the steps we believe will be needed for eligibility
We implement features and give advice on best practices and avoiding sybil detection
All you do is run the bot.
What is Sybil detection?
Aidrop’s often use various Sybil detection methods to try and detect users who set-up large quantities of accounts purely to target and farm specific airdrop to earn large amounts of tokens from the drop and simply sell as soon as they are able. The networks prefer to reward users who actually want to participate and hold, stake or delegate their tokens, so they aim to disqualify as many of the addresses they believe to be farmers as possible and reward only the genuine users. They do this by tracing connections (transactions etc) between wallets as well as similar or the same activity by multiple wallets. A good example of this is the recent Arbitrum airdrop which saw a large percentage of wallets blacklisted as Sybil attackers using their criteria which can be found here. Unfortunately many genuine users also got caught up in this which left a bad taste in some users' mouths after the drop.
How will alfa.society avoid sybil detection?
We want as many of our society to be eligible for as many tokens as possible from all of our targeted airdrops, therefore we are implementing multiple ways to avoid being flagged as Sybil addresses.
Whitelisted wallets - Using the whitelist allows you to access our dApp and run the alfa.aidropbots with brand new or existing wallets, this means you can set up multiple wallets without any connections between them and use our tools.
Funding your wallets - We advise funding your wallets independently from CEX’s leaving no traceable transaction links between your WL wallets for airdrop farming.
Airdrop Alpha - We are aggregating and sharing airdrop alpha within our alfa.chat that will give users the knowledge to set up their wallets correctly and also perform additional manual interactions we know to be beneficial on our target chains to further improve the unique history of their wallets further decreasing chances of sybil detection.
Bot Rotation - We aim to have multiple alfa.airdropbots active at any one time, so the user can run the bots in a rotation, this makes each wallet look more unique and less likely to be flagged by Sybil detection
Expert mode - For our top holders who have the largest number of wallets we will be providing in-depth instructions on further reducing chances of Sybil detection using tools such as IP proxies, chrome profiles and more.
Do the alfa.airdrop bot’s work?
The results speak for themselves, our first bot for the Arbitrum airdrop netted the society over 70,000 ARB tokens, many users were able to gain eligibility for the base drop of 625 ARB per wallet through only one run of the bot.
How often should I run the bot?
As much as you like, but for the best returns we advise running the bot regularly across different wallets, multiple runs of the bot has proved to increase the quantity of tokens dropped, however over-use of the bots could result in sybil detection especially if that is all the wallet is used for.
For the best results running the bot on multiple wallets rather than just one can be optimal for lower ETH users, for example in the Arbitrum airdrop the base drop our bots achieved was 625 ARB from one run, for users running multiple times the average drop we saw was between 800-1500 ARB.
1 wallet x 5 runs of the bot = potential yield 800-1500 ARB (Base drop + additional volume)*
5 wallets x 5 runs of the bot = potential yield 3,125 ARB (5x base drop)*
If however you are a high ETH user a better approach may be to target a few wallets with high amounts of ETH, this will allow you to hit higher volume criteria more efficiently (less gas and time), then farm with lower amounts at intervals to maintain activity over time. Arbitrum as an example had top tier criteria for 25k, 50k, 100k & 250k volume on chain, these were the most highly rewarded individual wallets.
Either way, however you plan to farm with the ETH you have available, it's best to maintain consistent activity across all of your wallets.
*These are estimates based on results from the first bot and results may not be exact and can differ between airdrops based on their individual criteria.
